Hi
My goals are to eat healthily and keep up with my training. I manage for a while then i become a bit obsessed -then I back off for a while-hating myself fo backing off!! i generally then go back on trck. My goal is to manage to eat and train healthily without getting obsessed or getting afraid and backing down. (i find it all very confusing!)

Hi Val

Not every goal has to be exciting, but I do believe it should have some kind of pull to it. I inspirational element that drives you forward to achievement. Some of my own goals are not that exciting, but are a means to an end that will certainly make a difference to my life.

Good luck with the OU course and the journalism... you'll be picking apart my awful grammar and spelling :o)

Hi Tim

I have started a few things: didn´t drink alcohol for 30 days! and am determined to keep tighter control on it than before; have lost a couple of kilos and hope to lose a few more; have received details of a journalism course that I hope to do in the summer when I have finished my Open Uni course. So, things are moving forward - not in any very exciting way but slowly, slowly

Hi SilverHorse

Thanks for sharing, great to see you are progressing, even if it is small steps it is better than not taking any action at all.

I am moving towards my personal fitness goals, though not as aggressively as I would like, because life gets in the way sometimes. The same could be said regarding riding my mare, though we are making progress in some of the other aspects which make horse ownership so rewarding. I am also working methodically towards an educational goal, which will facilitate future professional goals, though I would like the process to be shorter. I have even made progress in a travel goal, as I would like to show my spouse and my kids where I grew up (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy) in that we are beginning to plan a trip abroad for next summer. On balance, though progress is slower than I would like, it is happening. Thanks for the encouragement and goal setting ideas. Though they are not really new, it helps to hear or read them once in a while!
